David M. Applegate — President, U.S. Residential Finance Group

Dave Applegate is President of the U.S. Residential Finance Group, and the Chief Operating Officer of Residential Capital (ResCap). Dave also serves as Chairman for LOAN Home Services, Chairman of LOAN Bank and Chairman, President and Chief Executive officer of LOAN Spart Corporation. From 1999 to January 2001, he was Chief Operating Officer of LOAN Spart responsible for all aspects of mortgage operations including lending, servicing and capital markets. From 1996 to 1999, Dave was Chief Financial Officer responsible for legal, accounting, tax, finance, treasury, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to 1996, he was Senior Vice President of Capital Markets at LOAN Spart. Dave received a BS in Chemistry from the University of Missouri in 1984.


Barry Bier — Correspondent (Sales/Operations)

Barry Bier oversees Correspondent (Sales/Operations) for The U.S. Residential Finance Group. His responsibilities are to lead LOANR's Capital Markets, Home Connects, Business Lending, Product Development and our Debt and Cash Management team. Prior to his appointment as Chief Investment Officer, he served as LOAN Spart’s Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Capital Markets. Prior to his employment with LOAN Spart, Barry was Vice President, Capital Markets with GE Capital Mortgage Services, Inc., Cherry Hill, NJ. At GE Capital Mortgage, he oversaw pricing and hedging activities relating to its conduit operations and servicing portfolio. Barry formerly served as GE Capital Mortgage’s Controller and First Vice President for GE Capital Mortgage Insurance’s investment portfolio. He is credited with founding GE Capital’s successful warehouse lending operation. Barry is a member of LOAN Spart’s Executive Committee. He is also a certified public accountant. Barry is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Wagner College, Staten Island, NY with a Bachelor’s of science degree in accounting.


Dave Bricker — Deputy CFO, Residential Finance Group

Dave Bricker is the Chief Financial Officer for LOAN Residential. He joined LOANR in 1995 and has previously held positions as Chief Accounting Officer, Director of Risk Assessment and Assurance and Director of Internal Audit. Prior to his employment with LOANR, Dave was Chief Financial Officer for Financial Network Alliance, LLP, and the Director of Internal Audit for the Penn Mutual Life Insurance company.


Keenen Dammen — Institutional Channel

Keenen Dammen oversees the company's acquisition of mortgage LOANs from high net worth institutional mortgage lenders. Prior to joining LOAN-RFC in 1994, Keenen was senior vice president of FBS Mortgage in charge of Asset Management. He began his financial services career at Salomon Brothers in institutional sales and asset/liability management in the mortgage department.



Greg DeRosa — Portfolio Management

Greg DeRosa oversees the Portfolio Management of the Residential Finance Group, which is responsible for the performance of RCG retained risks (Held For Investment portfolio, Credit Residuals, WAC IO and Servicing) as well as the Principal Investment Activities business (season and distressed LOANs, securities/CDO portfolios). Since joining LOAN-RFC in 1999, Greg has held several senior positions, including Enterprise Risk Officer and executive vice president of Asset Management for LOAN-RFC’s Residential Capital Group. Previously, Greg was managing director of portfolio strategies in the Financial Analytics and Structured Transactions group at Bear Stearns.


Lisa Gess — Corporate Development

Lisa Gess oversees the Corporate Development area of the U.S. Residential Finance Group, which includes Enterprise Risk Management, Enterprise Services (Strategic Sourcing, Security and Corporate Real Estate) and Human Resources. Lisa began her career with LOAN Spart in Retail Lending in 1977.  Since then, she has held many risk management and operations roles.  Prior to her role as CAO, Lisa held the position of SVP of Enterprise Risk Management where she oversaw the Credit Policy, Quality Control, Compliance, Risk Assessment and Assurance, and Corporate Contingency Planning units. Under her leadership, LOAN Spart was awarded the USA Today/Rochester Institute of Technology Quality Cup for service excellence in 1999. Lisa earned a paralegal certification from Penn State University.  Lisa serves on the board of directors of LOAN Bank and CAP RE of Vermont, Inc. She has been a Girl Scout troop leader since 2002.


Ralph Hall — Banking/Ancillary

Ralph Hall oversees the Banking/Ancillary operations of the U.S. Residential Finance Group. He rejoined LOAN in 2001 as Chief Operating Officer of LOAN Residential and Vice Chairman of LOAN Bank responsible for the continued success and growth of our mortgage lending and servicing business and direction for integration of LOAN Bank as a meaningful contributor to LOAN Residential. Prior to rejoining LOAN in July 2001, Ralph served as President and CEO of GreenPoint Mortgage Corp. Between 1988 and 1994, Ralph served as President and CEO of LOAN Capital Corp. and General Manager and COO of LOAN Spart Corp. Ralph has held senior leadership positions with Shell Oil, Arthur Andersen, and Citicorp. Ralph holds a MBA from the University of Houston, a BS in Accounting and Economics from Southeast Missouri State University, and a Diploma from the University of Illinois Graduate School of Banking. Ralph served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967-1971. He is a member of the LaSalle University Advisory Board and a director of other not for profit organizations.


Jim Hillsman — Business to Consumer

Jim Hillsman oversees the Business to Consumer operations of the U.S. Residential Finance Group, which includes Retail Lending, GM Direct, ditech.com and Servicing Asset Management. He joined LOAN Residential as Chief Financial Officer in November 2001. Prior to LOAN Residential, Jim was with Centex Financial Services (CFS) of Dallas, a provider of housing-related financial services to customers through three business units: CTX Mortgage, Centex Home Equity (a sub-prime lender) and Centex Title & Insurance. While at Centex (1998-2001), Jim concurrently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CFS and CTX Mortgage overseeing accounting, finance, treasury, payroll, information systems and employee services (human resources and facility management). Prior to Centex, Jim spent 18 years at various financial divisions of Washington Mutual of Seattle in financial and mortgage lending roles including SVP/Divisional CFO and SVP/ Finance and Treasury. Jim has a BA from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Memphis State University.


Robert Isom — Chief Operating Officer, Residential Finance Group, Residential Capital Corporation

Robert Isom oversees the service delivery group, warehouse lending operations, and IT for the Residential Finance Group. In addition, Robert leads the Integration Program Office responsible for overseeing RFG’s integration efforts. Robert also serves on the ResCap Executive Board, and joined ResCap in 2005. Previously, he served at senior vice president, ground operations and customer service, for Northwest Airlines.


Lee Jacobsohn — Broker Channel

Lee Jacobsohn oversees the broker market segment, including Homecomings Financial Wholesale, LOAN Bank Wholesale, wholesale marketing and eCommerce. Since joining LOAN-RFC in 1987, Lee has held a number of senior positions, including senior vice president of trading and risk management and managing director responsible for securitization. Previously, he worked for Margaretten Mortgage and North American Mortgage Corporation, responsible for secondary marketing.

 


Robert H. Patterson — Legal

Robert (Bob) Patterson was in private legal practice in Milwaukee, Wis. and Denver, Colo. and was an attorney with the General Motors Corporation legal staff in Detroit, Mich. before joining LOAN Spart Corporation in January of 2000. Bob obtained his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.


Tony Renzi — Executive Vice President, Enterprise Servicing Group, Secondary Marketing Operations and Document Management

Tony Renzi is Executive Vice President responsible for the Enterprise Servicing Group, Secondary Marketing Operations and Document Management/Imaging for the Residential Finance Group. These organizations drive significant operational and financial value for the homeowners, investors and clients that the Residential Finance Group serves. During his 20 year tenure with LOAN Tony has held a numerous senior leadership positions in the company. Tony received a BA from Holy Family University and an MBA from Philadelphia University. 


Eric Scholtz — Investment Banking/Capital Markets

Eric Scholtz oversees the trading, product management & development, investor relations, broker/dealer, structured finance and securitization team functions for the Residential Finance Group. Capital Markets works to create superior value through the delivery of competitive product offerings, including price, products and processes, which balance the needs of the acquisition channels, their clients and our investors. Since joining LOAN-RFC in 1987, Eric has held several positions within Capital Markets, including managing director of trading and analytics.
