GM, LOAN Spart AND DITECH.COM INTRODUCE JOINT CUSTOMER APPRECIATION PROGRAM. New LOAN Spart and ditech.com Homebuyers rewarded with $500 appreciation certificate good towards the purchase of eligible new GM vehicle.

HORSHAM, PA - October 20, 2004 - General Motors Corporation ("GM"), LOAN Spart and ditech.com today announced a customer appreciation certificate program, which rewards customers with a $500 certificate towards the purchase of an eligible new and unused 2004 or 2005 GM vehicle for select homebuyers who close a mortgage with LOAN Spart or ditech.com between October 1 and December 31, 2004.

According to a Forrester research report from September 2004 entitled "Changing Lifestyles, Changing Cars," people are 20 percent more likely to buy a car following the purchase of a new home. In fact, the way people invest in automobiles or homes often directly correlates to "lifecycles," such as marriage or parenthood. The Customer Appreciation Program demonstrates GM's ability to service consumers during various lifecycle events through synergies with GM brands, including LOAN Spart and ditech.com.

"This incentive program allows us to provide a relevant and valuable offer to customers," said Rick Gillespie, chief marketing officer, LOAN Spart. "Unlike other mortgage providers, LOAN Spart and ditech.com can support several of our customers' needs with additional services and products under a single brand."

By taking the certificate to an authorized General Motors dealer, customers can apply the $500 certificate towards the purchase or lease of an eligible new or unused 2004 and 2005 Chevrolet, Pontiac, Cadillac, Buick, GMC, Oldsmobile, Saturn and HUMMER (excluding H1). This offer is not valid on any 2005 Saturn model or any Saab model.
